Aspirin is the remedy for fungal plant problems, Black spot, powdery mildew, and rust are a terrible trio of fungi, which can attack and destroy your plants. Garden Tricks!

What an awesome trick! The secret to turning your raised garden bed into a cold frame---just in time for winter.

A typical house has a roof area of 1,200 square feet and four downspouts that will each drain about 300 square feet of roof. That means a rainfall of 0.3 inches will fill a 55-gallon rain barrel placed under each downspout.

Outdoor Ideas!

Making A Dry Creek Bed Drainage Canal for Downspouts. One of the most creative ideas I've seen for this project.

Planters made from plastic PVC tubes and mosaic tiles.

Glowing Flower Pots. Paint flower pots with Rustoleums Glow in the Dark paint. Absorbs sunlight by day glows at night. Great landscape and gardening idea.
Homemade Weed Killer 1 gallon of white vinegar, 1/2 cup salt, Liquid dish soap (any brand), Empty spray bottle. Put salt in the empty spray bottle and fill it the rest of the way up with white vinegar. Add a squirt of liquid dish soap. This solution works best if you use it on a hot day. Spray it on the weeds in the morning, and as it heats up it will do its work.

Dog Pond - Place a plastic kiddie pool in the ground. It'd be easy to clean and looks nicer than having it above ground. Big dogs can't chew it up or drag it around. Could work for kids too!

Outdoor Spaces!

Nice retaining wall
This is almost exactly what I envision... so casual & welcoming!

Ooh, someone come do this in my yard, please!

♥ this find: $10 at a local flea market, this French door, with its glass panes still intact, separates a tenant’s cozy container garden from the homeowner’s yard. The open design of the door and lattice fence creates a sense of enclosure while still allowing views from adjoining spaces. >> This is super! So whimsical and beautiful!
I'd never come down... how very neat!
